20 years later this movie continues to remain my all time favorite movie. Danny Boyle created another masterpiece & all the actors were phenomenal. This movie is honest, raw, gripping & simply perfection. I was at the theater opening night 20 years ago & loved it then and love it as much, if not more now. Highly recommend. (Don't forget Trainspotting 2 {or T2 for short} comes out in January 2017 in the U.K. & March 2017 in the U.S. - the original cast returns)!

I saw Trainspotting while in college when it first came out. It’s one of the few movies I revisit from time to time and it has held its own over the years.

Fantastic movie, and fantastic soundtrack (why is it not on iTunes). For those of you complaining the accents are too thick- try reading the book, which is written in Scottish dialect.

I don't understand why iTunes didn't have this sooner. Irvine Welsh's classic about a group of Scottish heroin addicts living boheamianly, along with Renton finding that his friends are not who he thought they were (save Spud, of course), was one of the most entertaining films of the 90's. A memorible addition to any film collection. Choose Life.
