Description

Disney’s The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna, where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon. Disney’s The Lion King utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way.

I really enjoyed the realism here. It served the story themes (loyalty, betrayal, maturity, responsibility) better than the cell animation version. And a nice bonus was the physical quirks and attributes of the actual animals upon which these more realistic characters were based.

This Movie was so good like the original but what I loved about what they they did with this movie is that they remastered the music score, and added more detail to this epic story. This movie isn't just a animated movie... its the King of Disney Live Action movies.

What a waste of time because what's the point of watching this remake where i can watch the original instead this is like a double feature.

This was a good movie. It was very close to the original. There were some changes but it’s cause with live action you can do what the original did. There were some added things which kept it fresh and new. That was a great idea. The voice acting was good. The music was true with added music. The design on the animals were very nice. I recommend this to any Disney fan.
  • The most disrespectful thing that Disney has ever done

The original Lion King is amazing, it left a huge impact on animation for being the highest grossing 2D animated film ever made. It was also backed up with an engaging story, memorable characters, fantastic songs, and a deep message about handling the death of loved ones. Clearly, Disney doesn’t understand the meaning of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” and this atrocious demake shows how much money Disney is willing to scam out of people’s nostalgia for these classic films. There’s so much more to the original Lion King outside of nostalgia, the whole film has aged flawlessly, it’s a timeless masterpiece. This demake does absolutely nothing to make it stand out as it’s own movie. In fact, literally everything has been severely butchered, all of the emotion, beauty and intensity of the original is gone. It’s so awful that when Mufasa got killed in the “”””live action”””” demake, I was actually laughing for how terrible it was. I think it’s safe to say that this is the low-point of Disney, it’s a souless, shameless, disrespectful, and disgraceful piece of junk that spits all over the original, further encouraging the awful stereotype that “animation is just for kids,” you can’t say that when A. That is a completely false statement, animation deserves far more respect than it gets from the general public. B. this horrible demake is entirely animated, just trying to look as realistic as it can. Don’t waste your money on this horrific downgrade of the Lion King, go spend the money on the 1994 version instead. It’s more expressive, more engaging, has better acting, and it’s the more timeless version, because 10 or 20 years from now, the 2019 Lion King is going to be seen as nothing more than a product of it’s time with no purpose. I seriously hope Disney finally wakes up and realizes that the film’s quality is what comes first, not the money.

Only Lion King 2020 I have no words for explanation my comment for audience but it is no reason why that excellent! It is just really excellent. Soundtrack also good quality of production, easy to listen, relax and full of artist effective. 2/27/2020 after my first rate date near weeks, I watch Lion King 2019 again. However, I found something wired and strange was Zumba mature face when it fellow elder monkey to lake to the fights to Scar, it’s face changed different from the original when first and second time I watched my own Lion King movie in iTunes. The different is the eyebrow is awful look. The face color was edited look like Scar that but not it’s father Mufasa. The whole easy audience atmosphere was about this strange edition became lessen. It was not only Zumba face, all cubs body was the golden yellow mix with parts of grey. It was not appear when my first and second time watch Lion King. This aspects did happened when I watched “Joker “ in cinema and then in iTunes. Some menu script was different from the first I watch in cinema. But I don’t expect if my bought movie in ITunes would be or can changed by theft or piracy. Apple should think about the security and illegal liability of copy right of version of purchaser.
  • Horrible Remake! No imagination!

I hated this remake of my most beloved Disney movie of all time. It feels like that you all rushed it. You all should’ve taken your time to make this remake really good instead of making it like this. “Be Prepared” and “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” weren’t imaginative. “Be Prepared was shortened, and too lazy. You put your imagination stuff in the other remakes, but why not this one? You all should’ve brought the original actors back. I mean you brought back James Earl Jones for Mufasa, and I understand why some of them couldn’t come back like Young Simba, Young Nala, Rafiki, and Sarabi. But why couldn’t you bring back like, Nathan Lane for Timon, Ernie Sabella for Pumbaa, Jeremy Irons for Scar, and all of those guys? And another thing that sucked was that there weren’t any expressions on the characters faces throughout the movie. And this movie is a shot of shot of the original movie, and too close to the original one. I’m proud of the animation, and the visual effects in the movie, but it was disappointing with all of the stuff that I explained. Disney, you guys ruined this movie for everyone! Horrible! You guys are better than that, and that means you Jon Favreau!
